The new Dev image contains a new AI code assistance tool, notebook-intelligence, that hooks to github copilot better than the jupyter-ai tool we discussed before.
I tested it and it does a great job interacting with notebooks. It would be great if we can test it and get some feedback on its use.
@jkrick, @raen, I know you’ve been asking for this for a while.
To use, launch the ‘Dev Astrophysics‘ image. Select the two-star icon on the left and connect it to your github copilot and start using it. It works in both Ask and Agent modes.
Thanks to Ramon from the Sciencecloud team for bringing this to my attention.
I don’t think doubt Fornax will pay for copilot. But you get a limited free access for with your github account. The tool also supports other providers (e.g. openai), but I haven’t tested them.
if you have a .edu email address you can get a free education account on copilot “pro” (or whatever their language is for one step up from baseline free)
