Matteo needs more space

Ciao Francesca,

I can’t find how to ask for additional resources (disk space).

I’ve worked hard to work on S3 remote files for the processing, but I still need some sort of scratch space for the processing.

So pretend I’m @matteobachetti so that this goes in when it’s over night his time. I don’t know if there’s any chance this could be implemented before he gets up in the morning, but just in case.

I approve giving Matteo one TB of short term storage. @ningj2413 would you please add this to your stack? (@asawyers just for good measure).

I think our current procedure is to use: /shared-storage/users/matteobachetti

I resolved the current lack of “scratch“ space for processing using the shared folder, thanks @azoghbi . I had interpreted it, however, really like a “sharing“ space between users, which I would not have used for competition-sensitive processing. From the docs, I seem to understand there will also be a private scratch space in the future?

Yes. That is correct, and for that reason, we are using the /shared-storage as scratch space only as a stop gap solution until the new private solutions is deployed.
